Gigi is a Colorado-based, self-taught abstract artist. She draws creative energy from the mountains, skies, and wild landscapes around her—treating nature as both muse and mirror. Her art explores the delicate relationship between nature and the human experience, using flowers as symbolic expressions of resilience, transformation, and peace.
Her educational and professional background is both creative and strategic. She holds a B.A. in Business with an emphasis in Psychology and spent two decades in leadership roles driving merchandising vision, innovation and business growth. As an executive at Gaiam Inc. (1996–2016), Gigi oversaw Product Design, Development, and Merchandising—traveling the world and deepening her perspective through global influences.
After retiring from corporate leadership, she joined Room & Board (2017–2022), where she applied her eye for balance and beauty to interior design and planning. These creative roles became a foundation for her own artistic practice.
In 2015, Gigi founded West Design Co (dba gigi west art), initially offering design services and eventually transitioning into full-time painting. Over the last 10+ years, Gigi has cultivated a vibrant body of abstract floral work, using acrylics and expressive color to explore the inner and outer worlds. Her intuitive sense of harmony and emotional presence is embedded in every piece.
Today, Gigi’s artwork lives in private collections and brings a sense of peace, grounding, and joy to the spaces it inhabits.

My flower art reflects the enduring joy and hope that are always present in the chaos of life. Through both happiness and pain, these blooms emerge like old friends—steadfast and familiar. I use acrylics to bring abstract forms into reality, letting color guide the emotional tone and energy of each piece. Nature's power and stillness influence my process, and like nature itself, my inspiration exists only in the freedom of the present moment—fleeting yet profound. The flowers express the beauty and balance in the ever-evolving, transformative nature of life.
After a long and intimate journey into knowing my soul, I choose love—even in the most challenging moments. My work is a reflection of that choice. It is a visual language through which I communicate emotion, healing, and the sacred connection between self and nature.
